My name is Mr. A.R.M.  On behalf of our organization, I officially ask for your help and allegiance.  With the changing times and society’s somewhat delicate values our group and wunderkammer has dwindled over the ages.  We are beginning a campaign to reach out across the globe and locally for avid collectors of, and shoppes dealing in, the strange and macabre.  We would like to further our web of similar-minded characters to fill our ranks.  If you are in contact with others who you think are following the same thread please let us know.  The SSOA does not ask for money.  All we ask if for information.

            Many of us have grown up collecting the odd and extraordinary and been drawn to display them as such without an insight as to why.  At some point we have all stumbled upon our fine organization and felt comforted to know that there is a place for oddities and that our efforts have not gone unnoticed.  The SSOA has dedicated itself to furthering and praising the collections of the unusual man.  We here at the Secret Society of Odd Acquisition think of ourselves as a collection of collectors.

            We would like to invite you to join our organization, the Secret Society of Odd Acquisition.

            The SSOA has dedicated itself to furthering the collections of the unusual man with a wealth of inspiration and a budding network of chasers.  The Society is looking for members and businesses to stretch our tentacles.

            The definition of and odd acquisition is “strange procurement”.  Our members have a compulsion within them to collect unusual items.  Our symbol is a representation of the first collection, bottled curiosities.

            Members are unknown to others with their collections cataloged and photographed.  Meetings will be called between individual groups of members for collation of collections and for project classes.  Each member can hold classes in their personal interests.

            Businesses offer their suggestions to members for their individual collections.  These businesses would consist of antique stores, specialty shops, and thrift stores.
